Kintock is excited to announce the successful launch of its Transient Housing Program at the Newark site in December 2024.  Funded by the New Jersey State Parole Board, this innovative program provides up to 34 parolees experiencing homelessness with a safe and secure place to stay Building 1 of our 50 Fenwick Street complex.

Residents are provided with a private bedroom and shared access to a dayroom, kitchen, and complimentary laundry facilities. A standout feature of the program is the flexibility it offers-- residents can come and go as needed, bringing their personal belongings and food, fostering a home-like atmosphere. Meals are also available for residents who need them.

The primary objective of the program is to support residents in achieving self-sufficiency. Much like Kintock’s Village of Hope program in Bridgeton, NJ (minus the tiny homes), participants in the transient housing program are referred to Kintock’s Vantage Point program, which delivers comprehensive wraparound services to meet their reentry needs.

“Our aim is  not only to provide residents with a secure place to live but also to equip them with the resources they need to succeed. Through the transient housing program, residents are enrolled in our Vantage Point program, which provides assistance securing employment, establishing a budget, and other key services,” said Paul Taggines, Chief Operating Officer.
