Kintock Celebrates Black History Month
In honor of Black History month, Kintock is proud to recognize and celebrate the many contributions of African Americans, both past and present, to our society. Each of our sites will commemorate the event thoughtfully to acknowledge this annual celebration of the history and culture of the U.S. African American communities.
Also known as African American History Month, the event evolved from the efforts of Carter G. Woodson, a noted author and historian, and other prominent African Americans, to recognize and celebrate the historic contributions of Black people. Since 1976, every U.S. president has officially designated the month of February as Black History Month.
