Kintock Awarded Contract for Residential Programs in Newark and Bridgeton
The Kintock Group, Inc. is pleased to announce the award of a contract to continue to provide Residential Reentry Programs and Services on behalf of the New Jersey State Parole Board (NJSPB). Under the new contract, Kintock will operate a Stages to Enhance Parolee Success (STEPS) Program for supervised offenders at its Newark and Bridgeton, New Jersey locations. Kintock will also operate a Reentry Substance Abuse Program (RESAP) at its Newark location.
Kintock’s STEPS program offers program participants an array of assessment-driven services to address individuals’ risks and needs, with a view towards helping participants gain the necessary skills, attitudes and information to rejoin their communities as productive members. In Newark, Kintock will deliver comprehensive substance use disorder programming and relapse prevention services to residents of the RESAP Program through a four-phase model. Each phase will address a different component of treatment, to include Stabilization and Orientation; Intensive Relapse Prevention and Education; Release and Reintegration; and Discharge Planning.
Kintock has partnered with the Parole Board since 2003 to provide Residential Re-entry services in Newark and Bridgeton, respectively. The new contract officially commenced on September 1, 2021 and will continue through August 2024, and may be extended for two additional years.
“We are extremely proud of the positive impact that our Parole programs have had on so many individuals reentering the community. We are also honored at the Parole Board’s continued confidence in our company to provide comprehensive Residential Re-entry Services to clients in need of these services,” said Walt Simpkins, Chairman and CEO of Kintock. “Kintock looks forward to continuing to help offenders overcome those obstacles that impede successful reentry through the provision of quality treatment and services,” he added.
Kintock is dedicated to preventing and reducing crime. To meet this goal, Kintock’s reentry programs have been designed to promote pro-social behavior, assist clients in making and sustaining transformative life changes, and ultimately to improve the quality of lives in our communities by reducing the re-incarceration rate of offenders.
