Quality, Integrity, & Accountability in Community Corrections

Kintock is pleased to announce that Jeffery A. Clayton, LPC, LCADC, ACS, CCS recently joined Kintock’s Board of Directors. Mr. Clayton has 48 years as an expert substance use disorder professional, with experience in direct client services, administration, development of policies and procedures, and grant writing.

“I am very pleased to welcome Mr. Clayton to the board and I’m confident that the depth and breadth of his clinical experience, coupled with his leadership background, will strengthen Kintock and support its mission,” said Diane DeBarri, Chairman and CEO.

As a former New Jersey Senior State Official for the Division of Addiction Services (now Division of Mental Health and Addiction Services), Mr. Clayton played a critical role in the planning, implementation and management of statewide criminal justice substance use disorder initiatives, including managing Drug Court treatment resources. He has served as Executive and Clinical Director for numerous substance use disorder and behavioral health treatment programs, including SODAT in Woodbury, NJ, South Jersey Drug Treatment Center in Bridgeton and Addiction Recovery Services in Somers Point, and Post House, a long-term residential and out-patient substance use disorder treatment program that Kintock operated from 2009 to 2013, among others.

In addition to having extensive knowledge of co-occurring disorders, mental health disorders, counseling theory and substance use disorders, Mr. Clayton has established and presented conferences on various substance abuse topics, including medication assisted treatment. He successfully advocated to the Administrative Office of the Courts for enhanced services to include medication assisted treatment in Drug Courts statewide.

Mr. Clayton currently serves as Regional Director of Addiction Services at Helping Hand Behavioral Health, with facilities in southern New Jersey, a program that provides mental health and substance abuse treatment.
